Sharon Wentz
I encourage people who love to move their bodies, to tap into their creative energy through creative sequencing and thoughtful biomechanics, so they can discover and rediscover their mind and body from many different perspectives. As a lifelong athlete with a passion for anatomy, physiology and a love of yoga philosophy, I enjoy guiding my students into exploring their soft edges to remove stagnancy and tension, and to remember that when we come home to ourselves, there is an abundance of life within us waiting to be unearthed.
A class experience with me will be challenging yet accessible, focused and playful, and may awaken long lost muscles and forgotten joys. No class sequence is ever the same. However, you can expect to build into deep postures, receive several pose options, hear some yoga philosophy, and be supported no matter what you choose on your mat that day.
Growing up near Spokane, WA, I lived in Chicago, where I trained and taught for 16 years. Now in the Seattle area where I continue to study, practice and expand my offerings, I reside on the ancestral lands of the Coast Salish Peoples, who have lived in the Salish Sea basin since time immemorial.
