I've been teaching yoga since 2004 after graduating from Eight Limbs Yoga Center in Chicago with my 200hr certificate. In 2006, I received my 500hr from The Temple of Kriya Yoga, and after completing over 10,000 teaching hours by 2010, became an Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher (E-RYT 500). In 2010, I became a Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider when colleague Kerry Maiorca and I created and launched our 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training program at Bloom Yoga Studio in Chicago (we're beginning our 12th year/cohort this October 2022).
I grew up in Washington, and after living in Chicago since 2002, returned to the Seattle area in 2020, where I continue to train and host continuing education for students and teachers online. My undergraduate studies in neuropsychology, medical anthropology, anatomy and nutrition inform my teachings and inspire me to dive deeper into modalities that connect each of us with nature, society, and the more subtle aspects of a peaceful mind, body, and spiritual life.
